Sitting is now the new smoking. Eventually, we all slump when we sit for awhile. The problem of prolonged sitting is now realized as an identified health problem.
Most of us sit at a computer. Unknowingly, we put ourselves at risk of developing neck and back pain, headaches, and various painful overuse syndromes of the upper extremity by simply posturing ourselves for too long in the sitting position. Sitting alone is bad enough, let alone sitting poorly at a device that pulls us in to an inappropriate posture.
